FIT VISTA – Palace Youth Theatre Liaison

The Palace Theatre is a non-profit performing arts center that hosts its own professional company, youth and teen program and presenting acts. We are committed to achieving our mission through preserving the historic facilities of the theatre, responding creatively to the cultural and entertainment needs of the community and governing in a fiscally responsible and strategic manner.

Member Duties

The VISTA will help ensure that no child is turned away due to their inability to pay by providing free tickets to performances and tuition scholarships for youth programs. They will focus follow-up engagement and program recruitment efforts on Title I elementary schools, coordinate with these Manchester schools (Title 1 schools are a priority) so that they may bring live theatre experiences into the classroom that are non-existent currently, and work to create new programming opportunities that fulfill additional student interests and needs. Financial support for this work will come in the form of fundraising campaigns, fundraising events, and marketing campaigns and grant writing that will be coordinated and executed by the VISTA member. VISTA member is expected to work a typical 9-5 schedule Monday through Friday. However, certain events and projects may occur that require VISTA to be available outside of these hours.
