Where is the Palace Theatre located?
The Palace Theatre is located at 80 Hanover Street, in the heart of historic downtown Manchester, NH.
How many people can the Palace Theatre seat?
The Palace Theatre can seat 858 people, with seven additional wheelchair accessible spaces.

How can I purchase tickets to an event?
Tickets to any event can be purchased by calling our box office at (603) 668-5588, or coming by 80 Hanover Street in person. Box office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. A major credit card is required for all telephone purchases. You may also order select tickets online through our
ticketing system.
Will my tickets be mailed to me?
We do not mail tickets. Tickets may be picked up Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, or before the event. The box office opens one hour before all events.
Can tickets be exchanged? Can you issue a refund?
We do not offer refunds or exchanges on any ticket purchases.
Do I need to buy a ticket for an infant?
State fire code requires all people attending an event to purchase a ticket and be assigned a seat, including babes in arms. This allows them to keep track of exactly how many people are inside the theatre in case of an emergency.
Can I purchase season tickets?
The Palace Theatre offers several options for purchasing tickets including Season Subscriptions and FlexTix. A Subscription buys you a ticket to each of the seven Palace Professional Productions at only $25 per show! FlexTix buys you six tickets to be used on any Palace Professional Production throughout the season. Unlike a Subscription that buys you a ticket to all seven shows, FlexTix can be used on as many or as few Professional Productions as you desire. Please call our Box office between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm to inquire about these options.
Are there group rates for tickets?
Yes, there are group rates for most events. Please call our box office manager, Laurie Tobine between 9 AM and 5 PM to inquire.
Are there rush tickets available?
Each of our professional productions has rush tickets available to students one hour prior to each performance. Students must present a valid student ID upon purchase.
What is the historic fee?
The Palace Theatre adds a $2.50 historic fee to all ticket sales for upkeep of the theatre.
Are cameras or video recorders allowed inside the Palace Theatre?
No recording devices of any kind are allowed during a performance.
Are food and beverages available at the Palace Theatre?
Food and beverages can be purchased at the bar in our lobby or in the reception room during certain events, but patrons are asked not to bring them into the theatre itself.
I'm not familiar with Manchester. What are the dining options in the area?
How do I sponsor a production or event at the Palace?
Sponsorships are sold throughout the year for our Professional Broadway in New Hampshire Series, the Palace Youth Theatre Productions, and all of our presenting shows. Please call (603)668-5588 between 9 am and 5 pm and ask to speak with someone regarding sponsorship.

PYT/TEEN COMPANY:
What is the Palace Teen Company and how can my child get involved?
The Palace Teen Company is an elite, audition-only group of thirty students ages 13-18 under the direction of the Palace Professional Department. This company is designed to train teenage students who are dedicated to their involvement in musical theatre. The schedule is comprised of two four-month semesters with auditions prior to each semester. (Join our audition email club to be notified of auditions.) Fall Semester runs August through November and Spring Semester runs February through May. Company members attend a weekly 1½ hour theatre dance class every Saturday morning taught by Carl Rajotte, or a guest professional. Additional workshops are scheduled throughout each semester covering various musical theatre related topics.
When are auditions held for Palace Youth Theatre and Palace Teen Company?
Teen Company auditions are held twice a year before each semester. Palace Youth Theatre auditions are held for all shows, both Youth and Teen, prior to each show. Please

What does my child need to prepare for Teen Company/PYT auditions?
For Palace Teen Company and PYT, you will need to prepare a song that best shows your voice. Please bring clearly marked sheet music. An accompanist will be provided for you. Also, you will be asked to perform a short dance combination, so come prepared with appropriate dance attire and shoes. For Palace Teen Company, you are also asked to prepare a one-minute monologue.
Are there theatre/dance/vocal workshops for students who are not involved in the Palace Teen Company?

Why do I have to pay a production fee and what does it cover?
Production fees are required for all PYT shows to cover the costs of materials including script/score rentals, costumes, and props among other things. If you are interested in helping to reduce production fees, please contact

What is Parents of the Palace (POPs) and how can I get involved?
Parents of the Palace (POPs) is a group of PYT Parents who assist with fundraising and planning PYT events throughout the year. Please contact

How often will my child have to attend rehearsal for a PYT show?
PYT generally rehearses 2-3 times per week in the evenings and weekends for 5-7 weeks. During tech week (final week before the show opens), students are generally called to rehearsal every night from 6-10 pm. A detailed rehearsal schedule is provided at the first rehearsal for each production.
TECHNICAL:
What is the pit cover? When is it in? How will it affect my rental?
The pit cover is a unit of portable staging that "fills in" our orchestra pit to add 4 to 8 feet to the stage. It is usually in according to the Palace Professional Theatre's schedule and needs. When the pit cover is completely in there is no access to the orchestra pit. When the pit cover is partially in the pit can accommodate a small band. Technical Director no less than two weeks prior to your event.
Does the Palace have orchestra chairs on site?
The Palace has a few orchestra chairs for use on site, however if a large number of chairs is required for an event, it is best to inform the theatre two weeks in advance.
Does the Palace rent scenic elements?
The Palace does rent some scenic elements for both out of and in house shows, as well as other events. For scenery rental please contact our
Technical Director for more information.
How many microphones does the Palace have available for use during an event?
The Palace has a limited number of wireless lavalieres, wireless handhelds and hard wired microphones. For more information contact our

Does the Palace own Marley or any other floor covering?
The Palace does not own any floor covering.
Does Palace own a LCD projector?
The Palace does not own a projector of any sort, but it does have the capability to run sound from a projector that is brought into the house by a client.
