An Afternoon of Opera Scenes and Arias Sunday March 11, 2012 (2:00pm)
Opera and Musical Theater concert to benefit Linda Rainville, Pulmonary Fibrosis survivor, to help offset extensive medical cost for her recent lung transplant at Mass General Hospital. She is now doing well and is on her way back to full recovery.
Shelley and Joel Jameson internationally acclaimed opera artists along with the Nyack College Opera Workshop, Nyack New York, will be performing opera scenes and arias along with popular musical theater selections. The concert will feature selection from La Boheme, La Traviata, Romeo and Juliette, Magic Flute, Les Miserable, Porgy and Bess and Phantom of the Opera
Shelley and Joel have performed with New York City Opera, Houston Opera, Washington Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Carnegie Hall, the Boshoi in Moscow, the Japanese National Theater in Tokyo and Teatro Municipale in Santiago Chile to name a few. Ms. Jameson appeared twice with acclaimed tenor Placido Domingo who chose her to sing the Infanta opposite him at Washington opera in his revival of Massenet’s opera Le Cid.
